152.4/50 Vickers Model 1923 gun
Spain acquired in 1926of the house Vickersthe patent for the manufacture of the 50 pieces of this canyon. The Spanish Construction Society Naval located in ReinosaCantabria, Cantabria, was in charge of their manufacture from that same year until 1952. The installation of these pieces required special infrastructures for their emplacement and ammunition supply, as they were placed in barbettes equipped with projectile lifts for each cannon with access to lower levels through central holes. This piece comes from the Cala Carril Battery and was manufactured in 1950, being dismantled in 1994. The piece with tube number 120 fired 87 shells during its service life.
